Children's Museum

We decided, in spite of the fact that we all have colds, that we HAD to get out of the house yesterday, so we visited the Children's Museum. We had the good fortune of showing up on the very first day of the members only preview of the Dora and Diego Exhibit. So, we got to break in some of the cute stuff in there. Aubree loved it!!!

She spent a lot of time watering flowers in Isa's flowery garden.

Here she is putting glowing stars into constellations.

She played a little on this rock wall, but it didn't go up high enough for her adventuresome self.

She got the giggles on the carousel. This is the first time she hasn't been afraid on one.

We also explored the "Dinosphere" She wasn't afraid of the huge fossils and dinosaur skeletons in the exhibit, but we did a puzzle together, and it roared at her, and she's been talking about it ever since. It apparently traumatized her. She really liked the nests. She carried dinosaur eggs around and was pretending to be a dino-mommy.

Dino-dad!
Here she is diggin' for bones.

We also explored the trains in the lower levels and the glass works.

At home looking at these pictures, she said, "That's me making a peacock!"
Gotta love her imagination. I thought we were just sticking tubes into holes. I didn't know we were making a peacock.

Thanks for the membership, Grandma and Grandpa Maurer!
Come with us next time!
We can't wait to go back. (Aubree was crying when we had to leave.)
