The Blooper Reel

This was an attempt to video tape Aubree walking. Instead it turned out to be a close (and very slobbery) encounter with our fierce huntress, Misha. A little embarrassing, but pretty funny.

Fun in the Sun!

Hooray for a warm weekend! Aubree got some nice time outside this weekend. Taking a walk with Mommy

Being amazed by a leaf

Sporting the only hat she has ever left on her head for more than 2 seconds

Laughing with Grandpa Cain

Overall, she had a big weekend. She even got to ride on the swing with Grandma:

She added "Weeee" to her vocabulary!

Thanks for the babysitting Grandma & Grandpa!
Love ya!

Baby Steps

She's walking! Hoorah! Seriously walking! When we picked her up tonight after small group, she came to me walking, probably about 10 little steps, and screeching (happy screeching!) What a cutie! We'll try to get some video soon, but I just wanted to give an update. She also has a new word, "Baby." She said it to her dolly about 30 times before going to bed tonight. Happy 11th month birthday, Aubree. Wow, it does go fast!

Aubree's pals

Here's a couple of pictures of Aubree and her pal, Catrece. Aubree & Catrece in their matching PJ's. Super cute (even though they were not into the photo session)!
This is Aubree Rose's pal, Zoe-Grace. I love this picture of her. She and Aubree were chatting (yelling at each other) and chasing each other around the kitchen table last week. We were all cracking up. It's fun to watch our girls!

So big!

Aubree Rose is getting big. She's almost done with her first car seat. When she sees someone, she waves like crazy and says "hi!" which in her vocabulary is a three syllable word. It's pretty adorable. Yesterday after Chris and I were showing her her little stuffed lion, she said "Lion" clear as day. She also says, "ay, ay, ay" (an expression her Mommy taught her during a particularly unpleasant diaper change), "uh-oh," and a much clearer "bottle" that now includes a "t" sound. "Mama" no longer sounds like "nyah-nyah." She's getting much clearer. Yesterday she took four steps in a row... one of my pals calls it "the beginning of the end," but we're still really excited that she'll be walking around soon. She also has a pretty cool move that involves quite a bit of arm flapping, bouncing, and scooting across the floor on her knees. We have yet to catch it on video, but it's definitely a rock star move.
Enjoy the pics, my friends! Peace.
