Matchies

Aubree and her little pal Catrece have little matching dresses. (Although, you might be able to tell that Aubree's is a size smaller.) We finally got them together for pictures, and it's probably a good thing because Aubree Rose is just about too big for this little dress now. Here they are being adorable:

Christy's pictures

Before I found our camera in the scary depths of the diaper bag, we took a few pretty cute ones on Christy's. Here are a couple that I really liked...

Another Chuck E. Cheese play-date...

So, I have become somewhat obsessed with visiting Chuck E. Cheese. It's fairly cheap fun. She eats the food, and the little toddler jungle gym is perfect for her. Last night we got Catrece and her mommy and daddy to head over with us for a little playtime. These pictures are kind of blurry, but you can see that they both had a pretty good time, and the second picture down just cracked me up. It was funnier in person. It's the first time she's ever made faces at me.

The kiddie coaster had them both holding on.
They look scared, but honestly, I think they were a little bored with it,
and just wanted down.

What a cutie!

Caught in the act

She's not allowed to climb on the coffee table...

As you can see she feels very guilty about her behavior...

and her daddy is very upset with her.

kisses,"bra-berries," and "Melmo"

Some cute little video of Aubree and Catrece. They're such fun little buddies! (You might want to mute it. Mommy's "excited voice" is a little annoying!)

This week Aubree had her 15 month check-up! She's in good shape. She's in the 90th percentile for height... 32 inches, but the 25th for weight... 22 lbs. So she's tall and skinny, which is why I took her to McDonalds for breakfast this morning. She wiped out a hotcake and a half (only a teeny touch of syrup and butter) and over half of a fruit and yogurt parfait. Maybe when she grows up, we'll find hidden BigMac wrappers stashed in her car... like some other McDonald's lover we know... (**cough cough**...Grandpa Cain.) I tried to teach her the words for what she was eating. She managed "pancake" pretty well but got stuck on "strawberry." She was entertaining fellow diners by squealing "bra-berry... mowe bra-berry... ...pwease."

In recent news, she has found her nose, eyes, ears and bellybutton. She also can say a bunch of shapes and Sesame Street characters-- even though she's only watched it maybe once. She loves that furry red dude, but she thinks his name is "Melmo."

She also thinks everything round is a ball, and points out every circle or ball within 20 feet of us while insisting "ball, mommy, ball." Today she was in paradise when she spotted the melon display at WalMart. "Ball! Ball! Ball!" I thought I was going to have to bring one home just to calm her down.

Cookin' out with Caleb and Shaylen

Just a few pictures from when Aubree's cousins came to hang out with us...
Here's Caleb supervising Shaylen's marshmallow toasting
(and probably picking on her judging by his little smirk.)

You know these two goofballs.
The girls were chilling in the hammock while the guys made dinner
(hotdogs and marshmallows- We're fancy around here!)
Caleb & Shay,
Thanks for coming! It was fun, and it gave your old aunt and uncle an excuse to go see Harry Potter with the weirdos at midnight!! Sorry I don't have any video of your awesome frisbee technique to post on here!
*love you*

Loving Summer!

"Mom, what have you done to my hair???"

Splash, splash, splash!

"My pool looked cool until I saw Grandma & Grandpa's."

Time to make dinner.

"Storytime with Daddy rocks!"
Note: She is not naked in this picture! There is a diaper. Normally, we dress our kid. If you have questions see last blog post about the broken air conditioner!

Tough times...

Last week when our A.C. decided to quit and our downstair's temp reached 89 degrees and the upstairs was probably approaching 100, for the sake of our sanity, our panting dog and our sweaty, red baby, we spontaneously loaded up the car and skipped town. We arrived at my mom and dad's around midnight on Thursday, and here are a couple of pictures of us roughing it on our little adventure!

It was as torturous as it looks! ;-)
We were actually glad the heat drove us out. The pool was warm and lovely!

The One and Only Chuck E. Cheese...

We had bunches of fun Chuck E. Cheese today with Jese, Aaron, and Alaina. I was a little unsure about how entertained she'd be, but she had a pretty darn good time.

Here she is on a big girl ride that took her way up high.
She wanted to go after Aaron (almost 4) did it!
Don't worry, Mom, I was spotting her closely!
This is her first trip on the firetruck.

I'm a sap, and I bought her a helium "boon."

Riding the firetruck again...

Playing in the toddler jungle gym...

(Those of you who know Aubree can probably almost hear her saying "Yeah, yeah!")

Cruising with Stuart Little...

Fast asleep about 5 minutes after we left.
