kisses,"bra-berries," and "Melmo"

Some cute little video of Aubree and Catrece. They're such fun little buddies! (You might want to mute it. Mommy's "excited voice" is a little annoying!)

This week Aubree had her 15 month check-up! She's in good shape. She's in the 90th percentile for height... 32 inches, but the 25th for weight... 22 lbs. So she's tall and skinny, which is why I took her to McDonalds for breakfast this morning. She wiped out a hotcake and a half (only a teeny touch of syrup and butter) and over half of a fruit and yogurt parfait. Maybe when she grows up, we'll find hidden BigMac wrappers stashed in her car... like some other McDonald's lover we know... (**cough cough**...Grandpa Cain.) I tried to teach her the words for what she was eating. She managed "pancake" pretty well but got stuck on "strawberry." She was entertaining fellow diners by squealing "bra-berry... mowe bra-berry... ...pwease."

In recent news, she has found her nose, eyes, ears and bellybutton. She also can say a bunch of shapes and Sesame Street characters-- even though she's only watched it maybe once. She loves that furry red dude, but she thinks his name is "Melmo."

She also thinks everything round is a ball, and points out every circle or ball within 20 feet of us while insisting "ball, mommy, ball." Today she was in paradise when she spotted the melon display at WalMart. "Ball! Ball! Ball!" I thought I was going to have to bring one home just to calm her down.
