Trick-or-Treat

Here are buds Catrece and Aubree hanging out in their costumes.

Nice doggie!

Do you think Becki's corsage is too big?

Such a pretty flower.

Look at these two cuties...

Busy week

So, lots went on this week and there are lots of pictures to show for it!

Here is a pic with Tyler, not quite 3 months old. Notice that he is about as big as our 6 month old Jada!

We've started giving Jada cereal with a little more frequency now. But what she really seems to like is the baby food that is new this week! "Sweet Potatoes make me happy", she says!

"Very happy!"

Thursday evening, we went to a place called Snapperz. It only cost $5 to get Aubree in and adults are free! She (and we) had a blast! I highly recommend it (though, you may want to go on a weekday evening...it's cheaper and less crowded!).
She went down the first slide with me kicking and screaming, but was giggling by the time we got to the bottom! Then, she went running to go down it again. After that point she showed no fear and wanted to do everying! Most of the shots were blurry, but here's a good one showing Aubree climbing up all by herself...

And here we are at the top of the 4 story "play unit". There are tons of platforms, tunnels, slides and obsticles. Did I mention that Aubree had a blast?

Jack-o-Lanterns

We carved Aubree's and Jada's pumpkins tonight. We could have gotten fancy, but Aubree really wanted triangles. It's her favorite shape after all. Jada had no opinion, so we went with the traditional design. I think they're kind of cute--the jack-o-lanterns and the pumpkin carvers! (Actually I carved Jada's and had to do all the scooping out of pumpkin guts. Aubree didn't want any part of it & Chris was cooking up the pumpkin seeds.)

Friends

Whether they are hugging, kissing, tackling, tickling, kicking or shoving, Aubree and Catrece are good little buddies. Tuesdays in October have been fun around here. Some fun facts, Aubree calls Catrece her "Trece-y Cup" (from Christy who sometimes calls her "Reese Cup"), and Catrece sings the "Aubree Rose" song for Aubree. Today she did it to cheer Aubree up after a time-out. It seems like just yesterday that we were trying to encourage them to sit up by themselves, which is what I was doing with Jada this afternoon. Now they carry on complete conversations with each other about everything. Today it was favorite colors. They were also sitting side-by-side playing the piano and singing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" today. It was great!

Aubree's "must-mash"

I just had to snap these pictures at breakfast the other day. I was letting Aubree drink a mug of hot cocoa, and this perfect little chocolate moustache cracked me up. There aren't that many words that give Aubree problems, but when I showed her these pics on the camera screen, she said, "I made a 'must-mash!!'" You probably had to be there, but I was nearly in tears from laughing at her. Since then she's been asking everyone (male and female) if they have "must-mashes," so ladies, if she asks, don't take it personally.

Embrace the "Fro-hawk"

Like an afro and a mohawk got together to party on my kid's head.
She's looking a little distressed about it.

Cute little pumpkin pickers

Jada's first cereal

Jada's looking ready for anything. Love my serious little gal.
She was doing a great job following the spoon and taking her cereal.
She kept most of it in her mouth. It actually felt like she'd been doing this for awhile, so either she is better at it than Aubree was originally, or I'm just an old pro at feeding babies now.Despite the grouchy looking face, she was actually pretty happy and seemed to enjoy her first bowl of "real food."

Just Hanging Out

It's good to be two-- fish sticks, ketchup, juice boxes, leis, and PJ's at noon.
These things are pretty much good at any age, right?
Some handmade jewelry by Aubree. Painted rotini with Minnie Mouse sticker.
It's reversible; Pluto's on the other side.

Aubree loves her sis. What's not to love?
