Aubree turned two yesterday. Hard to believe! From the minute Chris and I sang "Happy Birthday" to her in the morning, she definitely knew it was "her day." We must have sounded awesome because she grinned and requested "Again?" (We obliged, of course!) We invited some family and had a little cookout. Little sister was kind enough to stay put, and let us have our fun! Thanks for coming! Here are a few pictures of the event:
Daddy road tests Aubree's new car while Aubree naps.
M-I-C-K-E-Y... Aubree's Favorite!
The balloons were the biggest hit with Aubree.
We lost the yellow one about a minute after arrival.
She actually looked a t a few cards before diving into presents.
Maybe she does look like her daddy. This is some serious concentration.
Dora paper and curly ribbon. "Oooooo...."
Cousin Caleb smiles on while Aubree gets to try out her new car.
She actually got it moving all by herself later in the kitchen. Can't wait for it to warm up.
Uncle Dan, Julia, and Grandma Maurer finishing lunch.
Shaylen, Aubree, and & Vivian
Getting ready for her cake.
(She likes having her picture taken about as much as I do.)
Blowing a kiss!
Finally the good stuff! She'd been asking for cake all day.
Three seconds earlier and I could have had the picture
of all three girls tickling the ivories.
Thanks for making Aubree's day so special! We had a lot of fun!
