Diva

Just a little bit of star quality...

All You Need is Love...

Smiles from Jada on her 4 Month Birthday

"Hi everybody and welcome back!"

"Oh you just crack me up!"
Like lashes?
(This pic is worth a closer click.)

"Say... has anyone mentioned lately that I'm cute?"

"Oooh Daddy, I love you..."

"... but there seems to be something furry above your lip.
Wonder if I can grab that"

"And for my next trick...

I will do a spot on impersonation of Mommy's favorite cartoon character."
(They're Pinky and the Brain/ Pinky and the Brain/ One is a genius/ The other's insane...)

Hot tubbing!

I'm leaving this one up to your imagination. The Maurer family did a little "swimming" tonight. Yes, all four of us in Aubree's little kiddie pool. You'll have to just picture us all splashing away in her little inflatable whale pool because it was definitely a "no camera zone." If it helps paint the picture, envision Aubree shrieking and splashing like a crazy one with her little cheeks hanging out of her hot pink swimming suit wedgie; me, probably looking like a cross between Moby Dick and Mother Goose while trying to protect Jada from getting splashed; and Jada sporting her classic "What in the world is going on here?" frowny face. As for Chris, he was on his belly blowing bubbles in the water, apparently having a marvelous time of it. I'm pretty sure I heard the neighbors snickering behind their curtains, but I will say that Chris and I both agreed that we had a pretty good time out there in our little redneck hot tub.

In other news. today we said "adiĆ³s" to our beloved Subaru (*sniff sniff*) and our monstrous lease payment (woohoo!), Aubree experienced potty-training meltdowns, but even under great emotional duress did manage 4 pees and 1 poop on her potty. Oh, and my girl, Sheila, gave me a great haircut... it's the small joys.

A deceptively peaceful glimpse of a tumultuous day!

Awwwe...

I have nothing to say about these pictures other than they're cute!

For a blast from the past, check out Aubree wearing the same thing:

Look at me!

Cuddling

Aubree has recently decided that holding Jada is kind of a fun little way to pass the time. Jada is less than thrilled with this decision. In this series of pictures, you kind of get the idea. I will interpet their facial expressions (I'm their mom, so I'm qualified!)

A: "Look at me. I'm a fabulous big sister."
J: "Seriously, Mom, why is this a good idea?"
A: "Isn't she cute, Mommy?"
J: "Find a happy place, find a happy place..."
A: "Are you having fun sis'?"
J: "Try not to panic, try not to panic... Okay, someone please get me out of here now!!!!"
I stopped taking pictures when Jada started voicing her protest.

Maurer/Witherell Grandbabies

Getting a picture of these 5 looking happy, sitting still, and not picking anything is quite a feat, so take it in and enjoy!
